Hildur Guðnadóttir

Hildur Guðnadóttir (1982) is an Icelandic cellist and composer. A two-time Grammy winner, she is mainly known for her film and TV work, among them soundtracks for the movies “Joker” and “Tár”, and the TV miniseries “Chernobyl”. Having studied composition in Reykjavik and Berlin, she released four solo albums between 2006 and 2014 and played on recordings by Ben Frost, Múm, The Knife, and Sunn O))). Since the release of her last album “Saman”, she’s successfully focused on scoring movies.
