Agnes Obel

Agnes Obel (1980) is a Danish singer, songwriter, and musician. Combining elements from neoclassical, jazz and art pop, her melancholic songs often bear references to European folk tradition. Playing piano from an early age, her recording career started with her award-winning, self-produced debut album “Philharmonics” in 2010. On her following records, Obel increasingly mixed acoustic instrumentation with electronic influences. Her music has been widely used in TV series and movie soundtracks.
