Roger Eno Announces 'Without Wind / Without Air' - Out 31 October

Roger Eno will release his third solo album for Deutsche Grammophon, Without Wind / Without Air, on 31 October 2025. Following The Turning Year (2022) and the skies, they shift like chords (2023), the new record reflects on life’s transience through 12 tracks for solo piano and orchestral ensemble. The first single, Forgiveness, is out now - watch the visualiser below.

Alongside Eno’s own voice, the album features guest vocals from Grace Davidson and his daughters Cecily and Lotti Eno. Collaborators include conductor Jonathan Stockhammer with Scoring Berlin strings, as well as producer Christian Badzura, who also co-wrote the opening and closing tracks.

The title comes from Italian band The Doubling Riders and carries both a sense of late-summer stillness and, for Eno, a warning about climate fragility. This duality can be heard in the album’s contrasts: the storm-like title track, the poignant The Final Year of Blossom, and the folk ballad There Was A Ship, sung by Cecily Eno and performed live with her father and uncle Brian Eno in Athens.

Without Wind / Without Air will be available digitally and on vinyl, with a limited-edition LP including a signed artcard featuring Roger’s own artwork. The first single, Forgiveness, is out now. Pre-order here.
