Icelandic singer-songwriter RAKEL has joined the Ólafur Arnalds-founded OPIA Community, the news comes alongside the release of her latest single rescue remedy, offering a glimpse at her forthcoming album a place to be, out 17 October.
RAKEL’s music draws on memory, atmosphere, and personal reflection, shaped by her upbringing between Akureyri and her family’s farm in Hrútafjörður. Co-produced with Danish artist Sara Flindt, the album was recorded across various domestic spaces and studios across Iceland and Denmark.
