Akira Kosemura is set tol release a new album, Reach for NAGA, on February 6, 2026.
The album was recorded live at a concert in 2025. It combines Kosemura’s improvisations on piano, organ and percussion with field recordings made in the village of the Naga tribe in Myanmar. The field recordings were captured by Hiroshi Iguchi, a Japan-based sound engineer and field recorder.
Reach for NAGA sits between ambient and post-classical music, shaped by live performance, environmental sound and a restrained sense of structure. The presence of the concert setting remains central throughout.
