Lara Somogyi has released sitting circle, a new collaboration with three-time Grammy Award-winning multi-instrumentalist, arranger and producer Rob Moose.
Blending Somogyi's immersive electroacoustic harp with Moose's expressive string arrangements, sitting circle is a quietly expansive composition exploring reunion, memory and the passage of time. Built around slowly evolving motifs and delicate electronic textures, the track reflects the album's broader meditation on emotional landscapes and human connection.
Speaking about the collaboration, Somogyi describes the piece as imagining "people gathering after a long time apart," where listening becomes as important as speaking. Having long admired Moose's work, she invited him to contribute to the composition, saying his strings "completely transformed the music," expanding its emotional depth and revealing "new colours" within the piece.
The release follows Somogyi's growing reputation for blending harp, electronics and ambient composition into richly textured sound worlds. a [time] patterned arrives on 28 August.
