Sleep

Previously released as short edits, the British composer and pianist Max Richter now presents his new EP of three extended reimagined tracks for solo piano - Dream 0, Non-Eternal and Return 2 - revisiting material from his 2015 album SLEEP.

Not believing in closed works of art, he now approaches SLEEP from a new perspective and pares back parts as a piano edition, while still retaining the original work’s familiar spacious and immersive qualities. SLEEP: Piano Edition has the same spacious and immersive qualities as its epic parent work. Whether one listens to one track or the seamless flow of all three, the slow, steady rhythms, repetitions and subtle transformations offer a sense of familiarity and security.
