Icelandic composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Snorri Hallgrímsson’s EP On the Importance of Birds is now available on vinyl. The follow-up to his Deutsche Grammophon debut Longer Shadows, Softer Stones, the release serves as a quiet reflection on the fragility of life and the way our relationships shift and reshape as time moves on.
Featuring string players from Iceland alongside the Budapest Art Orchestra conducted by Péter Pejtsik, Hallgrímsson blends gently shifting electronics, soft-focus strings and introspective piano lines - music that feels as much like listening as remembering.
