Ludovico Einaudi has announced The Summer Portraits Live, a new concert album recorded during his 2025 performances at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The record arrives June 12 via Decca, alongside the newly released lead single, Pathos (Live).
The album draws from last year’s chart-topping The Summer Portraits as well as some of Einaudi’s most enduring compositions, including I Giorni, Nuvole Bianche, and Experience. Recorded with his full ensemble, the performances expand the intimate atmosphere of the original studio recordings into something larger and more cinematic.
Originally inspired by paintings Einaudi discovered in a Mediterranean villa, The Summer Portraits explored memory, place, and nostalgia through a series of impressionistic piano works. “So I started to make my own paintings with music,” the composer said of the project.
