Eunike Tanzil has released Dreamscapes, a six-track EP out now via Deutsche Grammophon. The release follows the Indonesian composer, pianist and producer's 2025 debut album, The First of Everything, and reunites her with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and conductor Anna Handler. Tanzil performs on solo piano throughout the record.
Drawing on memories of childhood, Dreamscapes combines orchestral works with intimate piano pieces. Tanzil cites the film soundtracks she grew up listening to as an early influence, recalling how they introduced her to orchestral music before she had the opportunity to hear a live orchestra.
The EP includes the previously released singles Dreamscapes and Pearl's Lullaby. Alongside the orchestral works SOARING!, Flying Kites and Pearl's Fantasia, it closes with the solo piano piece The Ringtone Waltz, based on a theme by Spanish composer Francisco Tárrega.
Dreamscapes marks Tanzil's second release for Deutsche Grammophon following her signing to the label in 2024. Earlier this year, she was named a Classic FM Rising Star and appointed the Colorado Springs Philharmonic's first composer in residence, with the role beginning in September 2026.
